UB Educates Future Teachers in Mental Health Literacy

Great news! “Beginning September 2015, UBC’s bachelor of education program (BEd) will introduce a new online curriculum resource for future teachers on how to identify and talk about mental health disorders, such as depression and anxiety, in the classroom.”

Teachers are often in a unique, and difficult, position of identifying students who need help. Teachers can also play an important role in creating a mentally healthy school environment for kids and youth. What do you think about this initiative?
