How to Book a Virtual Appointment

We’re working to find creative ways to meet the needs of youth in our community. This is of particular importance right now as we do our part in curbing the spread of COVID-19

Supporting Our Families

Are you caring for a child/youth or dependent adult up to age 25? Are you feeling overwhelmed as a result of mental health and/or substance use issues of your loved one?

How to Talk to Your Teen About Mental Health

Teens who are connected to caring adults they can turn to tend to feel better and do better. You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to be open, curious, and compassionate.

There is More Work to do

One in five young Canadians, from all walks of life, experience mental health and/or substance use issues. Of this group, only 25% of youth will receive the services they need to live their best life. This means, of the more than 30,000 youth in the Central Okanagan, about 6,000 have a mental health or substance use problem and 4,500 are not getting the care they need. Too often, young people and their families don’t know where to go for help. We must continue to ensure we can meet the local need and fund future program innovation at Foundry Kelowna. We can do it – together.
